Blue jays are known for their beautiful vibrant blue feathers and their aggressive behavior. They are one of my personal favorites and I love the variety of calls they make. 

With their vibrant red plumage, it's always easy to spot these beautiful males. The females are more discreet with their natural brown color and a noticeable bright orange beak.

Waxwings love berries and will flock to treetops in groups where they express their satisfaction with high-pitched sounds. Notice their unique eye mask and flecks of yellow & red throughout their feathers.

Beautiful small thrush with a big, rounded head, large eye, plump body, and alert posture. The males are bright blue and females more gray in appearance

There are many types of finches but this is one of the most common. The males are mostly red in the breeding season and females are brown. They are often perched & singing on a branch.

These intimidating birds of prey are often seen swooping from the sky at an unsuspecting target. There are many types and their colors vary as you will see in the photos.

Sometimes hard to spot because they blend in well with their neutral colors, they do have noticeable white patches on their wings when they take flight. They are also excellent bug catchers in flight!

Easy to spot with their big red belly, these insect eating birds like to hop around on the ground, making a short chirping sound as they hunt for food. They also sing a beautiful melody at sunset after most birds have gone for the day.

These noise-making beauties are often found banging their beak into a tree or even the side of your house. They are in search of bugs but enjoy nuts too. Their markings & beak length will help you identify what type it is.
